Scientia on the Road
Thanks to everyone who came to the Scientia Regional User Groups (SRUGs) this year - particularly the clients who generously gave their time to prepare and deliver user presentations. You can download these from the User Forum.
SRUGs are a vital opportunity for our user community to get together, hear about the latest developments at Scientia, and share information about how they use our solutions. Members of our Development Team were thrilled to be able to share details of the progress we have made with our next-gen scheduling solution. This included an overview of the new technologies being used and demonstrations of their resilience to failure. A huge benefit of our forthcoming solution is its ability to spot and fix issues before they become problems. See some photos from the SRUGs.
THE Awards 2016
The Times Higher Education Awards was set up to shine a spotlight on the very best that UK universities and colleges have to offer. This was our third year sponsoring an award category at the event, which provides a unique opportunity for networking and brand exposure to over 1,200 guests, including more than 90 Vice Chancellors, Deputy VCs and Pro VCs.
This year we sponsored the Outstanding Contribution to Innovation and Technology category. James Grashoff, Head of Sales & Marketing EMEAA (right), presented the Award to Paul Evans, Professor of Applied Imaging Science, and colleagues from Nottingham Trent University for their work with 3D X-ray scanning, which is helping to make airports and air travel safer across the world. Read about their work here and look out for a more detailed blog from James soon.
